The best chocolate chip cookies!
This is a classic but is always such a treat to have.There are so many types of cookies out there but one which will always get me up is the chocolate chip cookie. And not any chocolate chip cookie, this is the best chocolate chip cookie I have ever had!
The perfect combination of texture and flavour all add up to create the best possible cookie.
In my definition a chocolate chip cookie has to have a crispy exterior and a soft and gooey interior.It also has to have various tones of flavours besides the chocolate chips itself.This is recipe is super duper easy but has incredible results.
One of my favourite parts of this recipe is the fact that you don't need ANY fancy equipment to make it!

Ingredients- |Yield-Makes 36 cookies |
-2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-2 teaspoons baking soda
-1 teaspoon salt
-1 cup of melted butter
-3/4 cup granulated sugar
-1/2 cup light brown sugar
-1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-2 large eggs
-1/3 cup chocolate chips/chopped chocolate
1)Pre-heat an oven to 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) and line and grease a baking tray with parchment paper and butter
2)In a large bowl combine the butter, brown sugar and castor sugar and whisk until combined.
3)Next crack the eggs one at a time in a smaller bowl and make sure your eggs have not spoiled(have learnt from experience).After one egg is cracked add it to the butter mix and stir.
4)After both the eggs are mixed in add in the vanilla extract stir.
5)Set this mix to the side while you make the dry mix. For the dry mix, whisk the flour, salt and baking soda in a medium bowl.
6)Add half of the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and fold using a spatula. Once it's lightly combined add in the rest of the dry ingredients and your chocolate chips and fold until you can't see any flour spots(make sure not to over mix or else you will have a rubbery cookie)
7)Using an ice cream scoop or a spoon drop about 2 tablespoons of batter about an inch apart (since they will spread a little bit).If you want top it off with a sprinkle of kosher salt and some extra chocolate chips.
8)Bake in the oven for about 9 minutes and take it out and let it cool for 2 minutes on your tray and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely .Your cookie wont look baked and still will be soft but just let it cool and it will crisp up automatically.
9)After completely cooled transfer to a plate and serve!Store these cookies in an air tight container in the fridge for up to a week (but it most likely wont last till then)!
The secrets of this recipe-
1)The brown sugar will give the cookie some flavour and will contribute to that soft and gooey texture.
2)The white sugar will make the cookie sweet and will contribute to the crispiness of the cookie's exterior.
