Summer breeze (kid friendly drink)
Updated: May 4
On this post I want to share an easy but refreshing drink idea. You can make this drink for your family and is a perfect drink for hot summer days.
Before I write more on this post I want to share a poem I wrote on jelly/jello( it is one of the main ingredients of of this treat). This poem is a quatrain poem-
Jiggly, wobbly jelly on the way
Raspberry, strawberry and mango
It's a fun treat to make on warm sunny days
Have a little giggly bite and feel the cool flow
On this post I made a very short video for more reference-
I find that the jelly cubes really give this drink great texture and it is perfect to have on warm days. I had this drink after practising my wave board and let me tell you it gave me a lot of energy after doing wave boarding for more than an hour!
4 tablespoons jelly/jello of your choice( I used raspberry)
1/2 a tablespoon lemon squeezed
Optional -1 1/2 tablespoon blue raspberry syrup
1/2 a cup frozen/fresh raspberries
2 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 tablespoon honey
Add the honey and raspberries in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes until the raspberries get softer.
Take a sieve and sieve this mixture in a jug of water (amount given under ingredients). Make sure to juice out every bit until only the seeds are left in the sieve.
Add in the blue raspberry syrup and lemon juice.
Stir with a long spoon.
Take a knife(remember to have parental guidance)and cut your jelly into cubes.
In the glass you are serving the drink add in the cubed jelly.
Pour in the drink and enjoy!
Note- If you want your drink colder then add in some ice or refrigerate you drink.
