Rai's top 3 dinner ideas-

1)Pizza well- This is a simple but creative way to use extra pasta or pizza sauce and vegetables.These are great for lunch too and you can fill them with any of your favourite toppings.

Makes 2 pizza wells

Ingredients-

2 large buns/ dinner rolls

10 tablespoons of marinara sauce( the recipe from my spaghetti and soyaballs works great)

Toppings of your choice(corn, peppers, carrots etc..)

6 tablespoons grated cheese( mozzarella works best)

Optional-Garlic oil, basil and cherry tomatoes


Recipe-

  1. Preheat your oven at 180 degrees celsius(350 degrees F)

  2. Carve out a well from the bun and keep the parts you have carved out.

  3. Put about a tablespoon of the parts at the bottom of the bun and push it down a little.

  4. Scoop in 5 tablespoons of marinara sauce in each bun.

  5. Add on you toppings and bake it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes till the cheese is melted.

  6. Garnish with garlic oil, cherry tomatoes and basil.

  7. Serve hot and enjoy!


2) Pasta pizza-This is a great way of reusing the leftover pasta you have and it takes only about 10 minutes to make! You just have to follow the recipe of a normal pizza and add on some chopped up pasta pieces.



3)Mac and Cheese in a mug. This recipe is super simple to make and I used Bigger Bolder Baking's recipe. It is fast and delicious and you should try it at home because the results are amazing!

Ingredients


⅓ cup (28g/1oz) pasta

¾ cup (175ml/6fl oz) water, cold

4 tablespoons milk

¼ teaspoons cornstarch (aka cornflour)

4 tablespoons cheese , grated

salt and pepper


Instructions

In a large microwavable mug or large bowl add in the macaroni and the water. You need a large mug as the water will boil up.

Microwave for roughly 3 ½ minutes. You want the pasta to be fully cooked. (Timing is based on my 1200w microwave so your timing might vary)

Pour off the remaining cooking water.

Stir in the milk, cornstarch and shredded cheese and microwave for a final



4)Triple layer sandwich- This sandwich is super easy to make and super easy to eat as well! You can use anything to fill your sandwich and be as creative as you like.I thought that putting three slices of bread was great and it gave me the feel of eating in a fast food restaurant.
